For those who might be reading this, I was hacked in March. A kind friend kicked out the hacker from the self-appointed Administrative post. That was fantastic! But now I cannot add pages to my portfolio and so on. So I want to see if all the pages are affected.

Par Art in the 30th Kyoto Art Festival 2016

Par Art, a private gallery in a renovated machiya (old Japanese house made in the Kyoto style), has started participating in the Kyoto Art Festival in recent years. A few artists who exhibit in the main group are selected for a show here but unlike the Annex and Kokokan, artists can sell their work at Par Art. Wendy Carroll, Deborah Stout, Minoru Masuda, Erika Kusumoto, Tomoko Yokota, and Wataru Kawashima were the lucky artists this year.

For me, 2016 was the Year of the Woman Artist. These were the artists whose events I most greatly anticipated or talked about. Their art could be seen at small or large galleries and also at alternative spaces. Their careers cover the nineteenth, twentieth, and twenty-first centuries and several countries.
