Although I had expected long stretches and many hours of quiet time to relax, read a book, and drink cups of tea, every day turned out to be a celebration of my art, friendship, and any excuse to party. Thank you to everybody for coming to my show at Gallery Camellia! I and Naoko Harada, the owner of Gallery Camellia, greatly appreciated and enjoyed your visits. You made the gallery probably the busiest gallery in the entire building that week! And you shared your love with the other galleries and visited them as well. I am sure your absence made a vacuum the next week. Thank you!

If you wondered what were drinking and what we were raving about for days afterward, these were the wines from a friend’s private stash that she generously shared with us and passersby. These particular wines were made from grapes grown in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius and were slightly sweet with natural carbonation. She also brought a bottle of limoncello that made an Italian friend swoon with delight. Many other delicious wines were also brought by kind friends and shared with all. I am a lucky gal to have such lovely friends!
