The promotional material has been made and the website is up, so I guess it is okay for me to announce that I have been selected to participate in Stella Nova, a group show to showcase 15 artists that the Artcomplex Center of Tokyo (sic.) feels are new stars in the Tokyo art scene. The show is scheduled from April 21 to May 3, 2015 with a large reception for all of the artists and shows from 5:00-7:30 on Saturday, April 25. They are taking care of the promotional material, the website, and the signage. Thank goodness! Illustrators, especially those with a manga-like style, dominate the other two “acts”. It was nice to see that they separated us four from that. It is also interesting to see that my little group has two women and two men as well as two Japanese artists and two foreign residents. I wonder what everything will look like on the day.
Warning! The address says Shinjuku, but the building is a bit far from Shinjuku station. It is closer to the Yotsuya Sanchome station on the Marunouchi line. It is a relatively large building on a narrow street.
Hope to see you there!
